SECU S. 17th STREET [TRC Plan Review #3] TECHNICAL STANDARDS – NEW ROADS: 1. The proposed driveway on Hollingsworth Drive appears to be less than 100’ from the exit for Roundabout. This driveway location may contribute to safety concerns for rear ends at the driveway. Please move the driveway further away from the Roundabout. TECHNICAL STANDARDS – ACCESS (driveway, sidewalk, and sight distance): 2. As previously stated, awaiting the Landscape Plan. Please provide a landscaping plan. GENERAL NOTES TO ADD TO THE PLAN: A. A landscaping plan indicating the location of required street trees shall be submitted to the City of Wilmington Traffic Engineering Division and Parks and Recreation Department for review and approval prior to the recording of the final plat. SECU S 17TH STREET [TRC Plan Review #3] TECHNICAL STANDARDS – ACCESS: 1. Show all the applicable sight distance triangles as per initial review for this project. 2. A stop sign and stop bar shall be installed at the street-type driveway off S 17th Street in advance of a potential crosswalk. 3. A stop sign and stop bar is recommended at the street-type driveway off Hollingsworth Dr in advance of the crosswalk and to be installed outside the ROW. 4. Site plan shows a stop bar pavement marking for the driveway off the driveway off 17th St. A stop sign is recommended wherever a stop bar is installed. 5. ‘Do not enter’ signs are recommended for all the one-way aisles in addition to the pavement markings. 6. Site plan shows lane reconfiguration of Hollingsworth Dr. at Peel St intersection approach. Solid white pavement marking line shall be installed for minimum 50’ length prior to the stop bar at the intersection of Peel St in order to provide a separate designated pavement area for each lane of travel. [MUTCD] 7. Show the lane shift taper dimensions and calculations for the reconfigured lanes on Hollingsworth Dr. 8. Use mini-skip lines for the lane lines and line extensions through tapers. [CofW Pavement markings for turn lanes] TECHNICAL STANDARDS – ADA: 9. Include CofW SD 3-07 and SD 3-08 on the plans for the ramps. 10. Please show location of accessible ramp(s) for the accessible aisles. 11. Note/label the plan with spot elevations that clearly indicate the accessible route from the handicap space(s) to the building. [Sec. 18-529(b)(2) CofW LDC] 12. Detectable warning domes must be installed at the end of each sidewalk before entering drive aisle/pavement surface regardless of ramps. Applicable to accessible aisles. Show the graphics on the site plan. 13. For all the crosswalks within the parking facility, standard parallel pavement markings are also acceptable.
