· Numbering on survey notes is not sequential – there is no number 7.
· Site Data:
o Why does the table reference “portion of” tax parcel ID….?
Sheet C2.0 (Layout Plan)
· The legend has “concrete pvmt./sidewalk” listed twice with two different symbols. The listing with the arrow seems to indicate flow direction. If this is the case, please change legend accordingly;
· The address is listed as 2488 rather than 2448 Carolina Beach Road;
Sheet L1.0 (Landscape)
· Include signature stamp;
· The address is listed as 2488 rather than 2448 Carolina Beach Road;
· Provide low buffer for protection from vehicle headlights along Carolina Beach Road pursuant to LDC 18-483. Low buffer must be a minimum of 3’ in height but required 5’ width minimum may be waived due to site contraints;
· An additional Trident Maple should be added to the streetyard along Cape Fear Boulevard, for a total of 6 street trees;
· Landscape legend notes that 44 pittosporum will be planted on the site but the site plan shows 52 total;

Initial Review Note
All comments are based on adopted policy documents, specific City of Wilmington Land Development Code (CofW LDC) and City of Wilmington Technical Standards and Specifications Manual (CofWTSSM) requirements in effect at the time of this review. These have been noted after the comment as appropriate for your ease in further research.
The City Engineer may administratively approve dimensional variance requests per LDC Sec. 18-348. If the Applicant feels further interpretation is in order, please contact Transportation Planning directly to discuss in additional detail.Please apply for all administrative variances in writing, an email is acceptable or this may be included on the plan set. Please see Sec. 18-348 of the Land Development Code for the information required to process a variance request.
NCDOT:
It is the Applicant’s responsibility to coordinate directly with NCDOT to determine if any driveway permits/ revisions/ review processes are required. Contact Allan Hancock, PE at 910. 251.2655. Please note additional comments may be forthcoming once coordination occurs.
TECHNICAL STANDARDS – ACCESS (driveway, sidewalk, sight distance):
1. Remove the note, “Contractor shall replace 9 spaces to their original location and dimensions.” The mentioned spaces have been reduced from 9 spaces to 8 spaces and their dimensions have been lengthened.
