TECHNICAL STANDARDS:
1. A stop bar shown in advance of the crosswalk at the intersections. The minimum distance between the potential crosswalk and stop bar is 4’. This distance must not be in excess and encourage the vehicle to stop in front of the stop bar. The STOP sign shall be located as close as practical to the intersection it regulates or justify the proposal. [CofWTSSM SD 11-11] [Section 2B.10 of MUTCD]
STREET LIGHTING [City of Wilmington Street Lighting Policy]:
2. Plan shows ten street lights proposed for this sub-division and it exceeds the requirements as per City’s street lighting policy. Only nine Standard street lights are required. If the proposal is to provide Standard Street lights please revise to show nine lights or provide the justification for proposing ten instead of nine lights.
3. Although, developers may choose to provide any extra lights or ornamental. Any installations above the criteria of Standard street lighting, will be considered as non-standard and has to conform to the City’s non-standard street lighting procedure as per the policy.
