If parallel spaces are new they will need to meet parking lot landscaping requirements. If they are existing then they should not be labelled as ‘proposed.’
Parking spaces parallel to the driveway do not meet dimensional requirements (8.5’ X 22’).
Identify bold line around parallel parking area. Is this the required barrier?
A minimum of 144 square feet of growing area is required for each tree (Sec. 18-460 (d)).
Confirm with Aaron Reese (City Arborist) that there is adequate spacing for proposed Bald Cypress along western property line.
Landscape islands are required at the end of each parking row (2 or more spaces). Landscape island in front of handicap space needs to be shifted north, to end of parking row.
Remove old label ‘River Birch (6)’
Building square footage on Landscape Plan is wrong.
An elevation certificate will be required at time of permitting.

Confirm that mitigation trees conform to Sec. 18-460: "Protected trees shall be mitigated on the site using trees of equal or higher value in Table IV" found in Sec. 18-520. Loblolly pine is 50% mitigation, so only 4 trees; 12 trees total for mitigation. Duke Energy will not likely allow the Southern magnolia in the proposed location due to proximity to overhead power transmission lines. Contact Duke Energy for their guidelines on vegetation/tree planting near transmission lines. The NE property line is heavily vegetated, and would need to be cleared to install the proposed trees and shrubs.
