- Retain trees or provide justification for tree removal outside of essential site improvements (e.g. outside of building foot prints, within wetland buffer). Some adjustments may be able to be made to save additional trees in parking areas. Please contact me to set up a time to review the plan together.
- Secondary streetyard is required along Shinnwood Road. Existing vegetation can be used to satisfy part of the planting requirement.
- Shade/canopy trees are required for streetyard trees.
- Include signature blocks on all plan sheets.
- A waiver must be requested through engineering for the required multi-use path.
All understory trees must be 8'-10' height at time of planting.
Cornus kousa does not tolerate parking lot heat. Choose another species for these locations.
Golden rain tree is considered an invasive species in parts of NC. Please choose another species.
Engineering has reviewed the plans for the Shinnwood Cottages project submitted on August 11, 2017 and offer the attached comments.

1. Please show the 10’ Multi-use path on the site plan. The Multi-use path is part of the Wilmington Greenway Plan for Greenville Loop Road.
