-16 ft. fire truck access will not work with the only hydrant servicing the subdivision being on Masonboro Sound Rd.
Reason: If a fire truck uses the hydrant for water supply and lays a water supply line down the street to the last lot, he has blocked the street for other fire apparatus to gain access.
Another option of course would be to add an additional Hydrant at the end of the street, but I think that would be less cost effective.

TECHNICAL STANDARDS – ACCESS (driveway, sidewalk, and sight distance):
1. The Sight Distance Triangle appears to be missing from the plan. Show and apply the City’s 20’x70’ sight distance triangle at each driveway on the site plan and landscaping plan. [Sec.18-529(c)(3)CofW LDC] Add a note indicating that all proposed vegetation within sight triangles shall not interfere with clear visual sight lines from 30"-10'. [Sec.18-566 CofW LDC]
2. Show the proposed landscaping for this project on the site plan or on a separate landscaping plan.
