WILMINGTON MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE [TRC Plan Review #3]
TECHNICAL STANDARDS – PARKING:
1. Site plan shows 5 parking spaces for staff, beside the proposed maintenance addition. Width of these spaces is shown as 8.4’ which is not in accordance with City standards. The minimum standard vehicle parking space size is 8.5’ in width by 18’ in length. Please revise.
2. If the above condition is not fulfilled the following may be considered. The minimum small vehicle parking space size is 8’ in width by 16’ in length. Small vehicle parking spaces must not exceed 25% of the required parking shall be designated by proper signage alerting drivers to the limitation of space size. [Sec. 18-529(c)(4)(b) CofW LDC]
TECHNICAL STANDARDS – Barrier Free Design:
3. Site plan shows striped crosswalks at various locations. Detectable warning domes must be installed both the sides of the crosswalks and at the end of each sidewalk before entering drive aisle/pavement surface. It provide a distinctive texture intended to have a uniform meaning in alerting persons to the approach to vehicular areas [City/ADA standards].

WILMINGTON MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE [TRC Plan Review #3]
TECHNICAL STANDARDS – PARKING:
1. The note for the Dumpster pad appears to be pointing to a blank area near the relocated Fuel Tank. Please correct the placement of the note.
2. The Southern Live Oaks positioned in the landscape islands for the one-way drive aisles appear to be beside crosswalks, sidewalks with tactile mats and drive aisles for internal intersections that have conflicting traffic. Please ensure these trees are trimmed from 30” to 10’ height to provide clear visual sight lines at the cross walks, adjacent drive aisles and at the end of sidewalks with tactile mats.
3. The 8 parking spaces on the North Side of the Clubhouse appear to have signs behind the parking spaces. Are these compact parking spaces or designated parking spaces? If the signs were from the original submission and previously marked Handicap Accessible Parking, the signs can be removed.
TECHNICAL STANDARDS – Barrier Free Design:
4. The proposed sidewalk from the front of the clubhouse to the cart path, (adjacent to the score board) has a 5% slope, however, there are stairs along this sidewalk. If this route is designed to be ADA accessible, then the route must be able to go around the stairs.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can be of further assistance as this development moves through the review process.
