Show the wheelchair ramps across the sidewalk at the driveways accessing Market St, as per NCDOT and/or City standards. Connect sidewalk with ramps. City’s 20’x70’ sight distance triangle at each driveway are not shown in accordance with the standards. The site plans show notes that state “additional 18’ NCDOT Easement and a Proposed Right of Way Verify with NCDOT”. If the proposed new ROW location is shown on the site plans, then please place the NCDOT sidewalk on the anticipated Final ROW location. TECHNICAL STANDARDS – PARKING: 2. The plans show 7” curb and gutter on the frontage of the site. Vehicles may not be able to use vehicle overhang when the curb height exceeds 5”. Ensure the vehicle parking spaces are at least the standard 8.5’X18’ dimension. TECHNICAL STANDARDS – Barrier Free Design: 3. Please ensure the accessible ramp at the existing building #1 is aligned with the route from the Handicap Accessible parking space on the frontage of the site. [Sec. 18-529(b)(2) CofW LDC] MISCELLANEOUS:  Transportation Planning Staff will review the landscape plan once submitted for compliance with sight distance requirements.
