TECHNICAL STANDARDS – ACCESS (driveway, sidewalk, and sight distance):
1. Dimension (width) the existing and proposed sidewalks.
2. Add a note, ‘All proposed vegetation within sight triangles shall not interfere with clear visual sight lines from 30"-10'.’ [Sec.18-556 CofW LDC]
3. A stopbar is shown at the eastern driveway. Please install a stop sign and show the location on the site plan as per MUTCD.
TECHNICAL STANDARDS – PARKING:
4. Some of the proposed islands at the end of a parking bay have radius less than 25’. If the travel way will not be used for emergency service vehicles or truck traffic, you may request a tighter radius, the minimum is 15’. This request must be made in writing (an email message is acceptable). [Chapter VII, Detail SD 15-13 CofWTSSM].
5. Please provide an autoturn analysis for emergency service vehicles to support the proposed radii (an email message is acceptable).
TECHNICAL STANDARDS – Barrier Free Design:
6. Show the typical handicap sign detail on the plan as per ADA and City standards. [Sheets A1 of 5 and A2 of 5, CofW Sign Specification]. Follow the link below.

7. Please install wheel stops/bollards for the three parking spaces located to the north of the handicap spaces (See below image for the reference). This is to protect the accessible route from the vehicle interference.

1. Please consider increasing the inner radius points at the Western Driveway from R15’ to R20’ - R25’ to help with Auto Turns for this driveway.
2. Show the sidewalk at the western driveway on the site plan sheets. Show wheel chair ramps and tactile mats at the driveway and crosswalk.
TECHNICAL STANDARDS – PARKING:
3. The site plans describe bicycle parking, however, no bicycle parking is shown on the plan. Graphically indicate on the plans the location of bike parking on the site plans. [Sec.18-528 CofW LDC]
MISCELLANEOUS:
Permitting of business identification signage is a separate process. NCDOT/ City of Wilmington will not allow obstructions within the right of way.
